The Tabasco chili is the fruit of the Capsicum frutescens, a 2-meter high bush solanácea family originally from the Mexican state of de Tabasco. The fruits are small of about 5cm long and have a moderately spicy flavor.

This is one of the most important ingredients of the Peruvian cuisine, although it is now being adopted by other cultures too. Is part of the Capsicum baccatum genus and each fruit measures between 10 and 15 cms. With 40,000 SHU it is placed among the chilies with medium pungency along with the cayenne.
We market our products mashed, naturally fermented and preserved in salt. According to client requirements we can add a percentage of vinegar and can also mix it with other varieties of our products to reach particular flavors. There are no chemical additives or flavorings. Shelf life is 24 months.
Mashed (with seed*) or puree (without seed). With a percentage of salt. Yellow-Orange.
*The seed is used when clients prefer a product with more texture.
